Visiting "Pies a La Mode" On Cape Cod: Old Fashioned Fresh Baked Pies

Pies a la Mode In Falmouth, Massachusetts

Leave it to me to stumble upon a cute little cafe-bakery called "Pies a la Mode " in Downtown, Falmouth, Massachusetts. Now this was not an easy task, because the day I went to Falmouth there was a wonderful Arts & Crafts Festival and the downtown area was swamped with visitors filling the sidewalks, roads and shops.

Comfort Food in Falmouth, Mass

But, I have a sixth scent and it led me to this charming bakery where fresh baked luncheon and dessert pies are featured. According to the delightful server who filled us in on the menu, The Chicken Pot Pie is the best seller and has put Pies a la Mode on the map.

And there were many other excellent options including seafood pies, Lobster pies and even "The Gobbler" which is described on the menus as a pie named by our team member Alyssa. Homemade stuffing and cranberry sauce are layered with oven roasted turkey, gravy and carmelized onions.

Homemade Fruit Pies For Dessert: Online Too !

Next came dessert.....here we could choose from over dozen fruit pies or homemade Gelato or delicious cookies or cupcakes. Oh yes...I'm missing this wonderful shop which is why I am online as we speak. This shop flash freezes their pies and ships in special dry-ice containers.
